A charming little vintage English stoneware pot, full of rustic character and traditional farmhouse appeal. With its beautiful warm honey-brown and cream colouring, this petite pot makes a lovely addition to a country cottage kitchen, vintage pottery collection or rustic shelf display.
Good vintage condition with lovely original character. The pot displays subtle variations in the glaze, small firing marks, natural speckling and light surface marks consistent with its age and manufacture. The honey-brown glazed rim and neck retain their attractive glossy finish, while the cream body shows the natural texture and imperfections associated with traditional stoneware. The unglazed underside has surface wear and retains its original English backstamp.
The underside has a naturally worn, unglazed base with a black "MADE IN ENGLAND" stamp arranged in a curved, semi-circular design. The style of the stamp and pottery suggests a possible connection to Moira Pottery Co. Ltd. of Leicestershire, a well-known English manufacturer of traditional stoneware, although not confirmed.
