This Chinese Poem Vase is a true statement piece. Popular in the eighties this highly decorative vase has been hand painted in vibrant pinks, oranges and blues with striking gold gilding. The Zhongguo Chao Cai Chines Gold Mille Floure is renowned for using peonies and birds in their designs and this vase is a perfect example.
The poem inscribed on the back of the vase translates to: ' Peony brings wealth and prosperity amidst the fragrance of flowers and the birds song'
Due to the age of this piece expect normal wear but no cracks or chips. Hand painted so there are some small black smudges to the vase under the glaze.
